OWNER and Trainer

Julio Abraham

With over 15 years of dedicated experience in the Scuba diving industry, Julio has actively engaged in instructing students in the art of Scuba diving. His journey as a qualified EFR Instructor dates back to 2007. Following a tenure working under an employer, he ventured into the realm of entrepreneurship, establishing his Scuba diving enterprise, aptly named “The Happy Hippo Diving.”

In 2023, driven by his passion for teaching, Julio embarked on a new venture by launching “LifeSaver Academy,” a business focused on delivering comprehensive first aid training. His diverse background spans veterinary science and law, providing him with a unique perspective.

Founded in 2023, LifeSaver Academy is a dynamic enterprise with a clear mission. Our aim is to ensure that the training we provide is the best on offer, tailored to the participants and always relevant to the current environment.
We are passionate about delivering successful, fun and engaging courses, paired with exceptional levels of service, which enables us to build long term relationships with our customers. We understand the importance of continuous professional development and sharing of best practice.

Course duration can range from just 2 hours for an AED Course to 9 hours for an Integrated Primary Care/Secondary Care and Care for Children Course.  We are flexible and aim to tailor the course to meet the needs of our clients and where weekday attendance is inconvenient, we can run courses during evenings or weekends.  Many of our courses can also be split over a number of weeks. We also offer one on one training on selected courses.

The positive learning experience we offer allows students to be more confident in their ability to administer first aid.
